Downtown Nashville Wedding at The Bridge Building

Nashville Wedding Photographer
Bridge Building Wedding in Downtown Nashville

Every time I look through Joe and Darcy's wedding photos at The Bridge Building in downtown Nashville, I just start grinning. I can't help myself. They did such an amazing job of balancing a gorgeous, modern wedding with personal details. Joe and Darcy are dear friends, and all of us that know them see how much their wedding was uniquely them. I'm so thankful that they chose me to be a part of their day, and I'm even more thankful to have them as friends.

Dad first looks always have me like 😭.

Engaged couples, notice something different about Joe and Darcy's ceremony photos as you scroll down. There are no cell phones in their first kiss or their recessional. If you do an unplugged wedding, your photographer might kiss you. So, you know, just weigh the pros and cons on that. :)

Since Joe and Darcy chose to have a small, brunch wedding, we were able to get everyone in one photo! I may have climbed on top of a golf cart that didn't belong to me to get this, but worth it!

Oh, and I went too.

I'm a Nashville wedding photographer, so I've shot dozens of weddings in this city, but I think the two below are the most Nashville wedding photos I've ever taken.

Since Joe and Darcy had a morning wedding, it left loads of time after their reception to go get lots of photos of the two of them. We started with a delicious caffeine boost at the beautiful Barista Parlor Germantown, then headed to do even more wedding photos at Radnor Lake.

Jessica + Patrick | Downtown Nashville Bridge Building Wedding

Jessica made an impression on me the very first time we met for coffee. She's so carefree, but she certainly still has a level of get-it-doneness. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of her wedding, and I'm so thankful I was able to get to know her and Patrick better over the past year.

They were married at The Bridge Building in downtown Nashville on a somewhat dreary day, but that didn't matter. They were there to be married and celebrate with their wonderful family and friends, and that's exactly what they did. It was a beautiful day, no matter what the weather was, and I was so honored to spend it with them.

When "Hey, jump on my back!" goes wrong... :)

Jessica's not the type to wear much makeup, so when she saw that some of it came off when she wiped the icing off her face, well, you see what happened.

Since it started sprinkling when we were taking picture of Jessica and Patrick after their first look, we made sure to squeeze some time in after the ceremony for some night shots of the two of them.

The reception was travel themed, which I loved. Jess even gave Patrick an Adventure Book (yes, like from Up) for his wedding gift. So it only made sense to throw paper airplanes in them as they left, right? Ummmmm, sure. :)

I love when couples have me bring a photo booth for their reception. I love the memories that are captured in it and how goofy people get. Since I have one of my second shooters run the booth for me, it's hilarious to see all the crazy moments I missed while I was on the dance floor. It makes the pace of editing a lot more fun.

Jessica and Patrick, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. You're such fun and adventurous people, and I can't wait to see where marriage takes you.

Special thanks for the awesome vendors that made their day come together!
