Jocelyn + Ted's Nashville Barn Wedding

When Jocelyn told me at her engagement session at the Golf Club Of Tennessee that their wedding location had been moved to a place called Keller's Corny Country, I was nervous. Driving out there, I was still nervous. But when I rounded the corner to a beautiful green field with a lake and a lovely barn, I knew we were in for a good day.

Even with the ever threat of rain throughout the day, we were able to get lovely photos outside between downpours, and their great attitudes along with Jocelyn's awesome details made the inside of the barn all their own. It was a great day, and I'm so excited for these newlyweds!

Right as we wrapped up their portraits after the ceremony, it started raining again. We had just enough time!

This spread of food by Clean Plate Club was some of the best I've ever had at a wedding. So good!

OK, I know this doesn't have much to do with the wedding, but these goats knew how to make the merry-go-round go 'round! It was hilarious and cute and I had to take a picture of it.

This one was just for you, Ted.

I do a same-day slideshow at every wedding, and this is exactly why. Thanks to my second shooter, Josh, for catching these.

Special thanks to these vendors who made Jocelyn + Ted's wedding so wonderful:

Amber + Mike's Vine Street Church + Musicians Hall of Fame Wedding

I met Amber a couple of years ago, when we spent an abnormal amount of time over coffee talking about being Nashville wedding photographers and all the other many things we had in common. She's the mastermind behind Amber Davis Photography — now Smith Studios because of this very day — and she quickly became a dear friend.

It's such an honor (and a bit intimidating!) when another photographer asks you to be there to document her wedding day, and I was so excited to do that as she and Mike began their lives together. They were married at Vine Street Christian Church followed by a wedding reception at the Musicians Hall of Fame. It was all tied together by the fabulous Elliot Events, who did an amazing job creating a reception atmosphere that catered perfectly to Amber's lovely, classic style.

I love when couples choose to have a first look. Not because it makes the day easier on me, but because of looks of anticipation and love, just like this.

Seriously, Amber. You're GORGEOUS.

We ended up with a pretty rainy day in March, but when we got a few moments of clear weather, we went to Vine Street's courtyards for a few outdoor photos. Amber's bridesmaids (and family) were awesome and squished behind them to keep Amber's dress off the wet ground. I'd say they did a pretty good job. :)

Ahhh, so pretty! Tiffanie and her team ran a smooth day and designed the perfect atmosphere.

They're the cutest.

Thanks to these amazing vendors who helped bring the Smiths' day together:
